A Mobile Police officer has been terminated following an internal investigation, though public safety officials have yet to confirm any circumstances resulting in their inquiry.
According to Mobile Police Department spokesperson Charlette Solis, Officer Aaron Washington was terminated July 3 after four years with the agency. Per MPD policy, Solis did not provide any details about why Washington was fired but did confirm it stemmed from an internal investigation.
As a general rule, MPD will not disclose the nature of any conduct violations unless the offending employee appeals any subsequent disciplinary action to the Mobile County Personnel Board (MCPB). So far, it does not appear that Washington has raised any kind of claim before the MCPB.
